When you are trying to prove you are not who they said you were

1 Peter 2:9

In Christ, you are chosen and called out of darkness into His light.

When you are trying to prove you are not who they said you were. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first feeling is not always the problem. The problem is what you let that feeling authorize. Fear can authorize control. Rejection can authorize chasing. Shame can authorize hiding. Exhaustion can authorize choices you would not make from a clear mind. Your worth was not built by performance, approval, age, appearance, or achievement. Jesus Christ is the One who names you. The goal today is not to control the outcome. It is to stay aligned with Christ while the outcome is still unknown.

What would change if you stopped treating this moment like a verdict?

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
